Occupational Therapy

Our Occupational Therapists provide a person centred approach, promoting health and well-being by enabling you to participate in the everyday occupations of your life. We will work with you to find ways to complete more tasks and increase your independence. This may involve tasks such as personal care, cooking, accessing the community, spending time with friends and family or accessing the areas within your environment. ​

Our Occupational Therapists can complete:

  • Activities of daily living (ADL) assessments

  • Initial needs assessments / functional assessments

  • Care needs assessments

  • Supported Independent Living (SIL) assessments

  • Cognitive assessments and re-training

  • Home modifications

  • Complex equipment prescription / assistive technology

  • Provide advice on wheelchairs and seating

  • Independent living programs

  • Pain management 

  • Manual handling training 

  • Community access and travel training

  • Dispute assessments (iCare)

Paediatric Occupational Therapy

Every child deserves the opportunity to lead a wonderful and  happy life. Our Paediatric Occupational Therapists are passionate about working with children and their families, assisting your child to reach their true potential. We provide a warm, supportive and nurturing environment where your childs' needs will be celebrated.

We specialise in comprehensive assessments and therapy for infants, toddlers, children and adolescents to develop the skills they need to grow and flourish.

Areas that our paediatric Paediatric Occupational Therapists can assist with include:

  • Fine motor skills (e.g. holding a pencil, handwriting, cutting, colouring in  threading, buttons/zips, shoelaces)

  • Self-care skills (e.g. building independence in areas such as toileting, dressing, using a knife and fork, washing, basic meal preparation)

  • Gross motor skills (e.g. catching and throwing a ball, jumping)

  • Play skills

  • Social skills

  • Sensory processing skills for concentration and learning that focus on how the body responds to external stimulus which impacts concentration, behaviour and learning.

  • Assistive technology (e.g. paediatric manual or power wheelchairs, strollers, alternative seating for school or home, shower chairs or bath seats)

Dependent on your child's individual needs, therapy may be delivered in our clinic, at your home, day care or school.

Physiotherapy

​Our experienced Physiotherapists can assist with assessment, treatment, hydrotherapy programs and gym programs tailored to your needs.

Case Management 

​Our experienced Case Managers coordinate treatment and rehabilitation services for clients in the iCare (Lifetime Care and Worker's Care), SIRA and Workers Compensation schemes.

 

Our Case Managers can assist with:

  • Coordination of treatment and rehabilitation services

  • Facilitate recovery and independence

  • FIM assessments

  • Care needs and ADL assessments

  • Dispute assessments for iCare

  • Discharge and accommodation planning

  • Avocational services

  • Pain management

Medico-legal Assessments

We provide assessment services for defendants and plaintiffs, including claims arising from motor vehicle and work related accidents, professional negligence and public liability related injuries.
